Medjugorje and Father Livio Fanzaga
For over 20 years Padre Livio Fanzaga has been the director of Radio Maria Italia, the Catholic radio most listened to in the whole world and which grew on the wave of fervor generated by the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin ("Queen of Peace") at Medjugorje to which Padre Livio is profoundly tied (the well-known Radio Maria Poland is not associated with the Radio Maria family). The radio is funded exclusively by the listeners. There are 8 hours of prayer daily including the holy Mass and over 8 hours of instruction and formation. As conductors of various radio programs there are about 60 priests and almost as many lay people. And most of the priests are professors at various Pontifical schools.
